Excel Add-in for Freshdesk is a part of Excel import and export add-ins package. By using add-ins from this package, users are able to import data from different sources to Excel.

First, a connection to Freshdesk must be established, for which you will need to provide host, email and API token. Here you can also set some other connection parameters and test if the connection is working.

If the connection was successfully established, you can start importing the data to Excel. For this purpose, there is an added Import Wizard, where you can select different objects for import, set filters and ordering of data, and even use your custom SQL statements. Before making the import, you also get to preview the data.

When the data was imported to Excel, you can use the power of Excel to process and analyze this data. You can also make modifications and commit the changes back to Freshdesk. And, if you have committed some changes by mistake, you can also reverse them back to previous state.

Data can be also periodically refreshed from the source. All the changes you make also get highlighted and the fields instantly validated. In addition, there are also a few options you can set, like the field coloring and similar.
